Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove a steering wheel on a ‘99 Stingray 190? I’ve searched the forum and can’t find anything that helps.
thanks!

Show us a picture for a definitive answer.

Generally - Pop off the wheel center cover, loosen the big nut, pull the wheel up until it hits the nut and remove the nut and wheel..

I tried pulling on the wheel and it did not budge. Before I started prying on it I thought I’d check if there is something simple that I’m missing before I break something.

If you don't do it right something can break - Your teeth.

The wheel is a tapered fit with a key. Spray some PB Blaster or your favorite de-rusting solvent. After it sits a while, back the nut off a little more until the shaft is recessed, sit in front of the helm, wedge your knees under the bottom of the rim, pull on the top of the rim and tap the nut with a hammer. It's gonna pop hard depending on the pressure you use with your knees and pulling on the top, leaving the nut on saves you from a trip to the ER or an oral surgeon.

Yeah, me too. You wouldn't happen to have an idea on the torque spec for the steering wheel nut?

Nicely snug. That is a Nyloc nut, so it's self locking.
