Can someone direct me to a post on removing a 305 and the steps to take? I am sure it's already been posted and covered before. Thanks.

Re: 1992 Mercruiser 4.3L

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------I found this............sound about right?

Step 1 remove the outdrive

Step 2 remove wires and hoses

Step 3 leave bell hsg attached

Step 4 remove front mount large nuts

Step 5 remove rear mount bolts that hold bell hsg to transom bracket they a
are screwed in facing down on eaither side of the rear of the bell hsg.
There are 2 of them, don't loose the spacers, springs, or fiber washers
that are back there.

Step 6 pull engine

That is NOT how it should be done.
Would help a lot if you posted what engine and drive you have and what year.

It is a 305 mercruiser (GM) 1982 model in a sea arrow ski boat.
