Ayuh,..........

Then use an AngleGrinder with a Wirebrush to remove the left over Glue.......

Thanks...that's what I was afraid the answer would be. Never hurts to hope for a magic bullet though.

old clothes, goggles, dust mast, take clean clothes to garage, wife will not let you into the house.

Before using the solvents mentioned in this thread, find out what specific solvent works with that adhesive. It's still going to be a nasty job but you will be assured that your efforts are being applied the best way possible. What ever you do, protect the surrounding areas. Copious amounts of solvents may compromise any flotation that the boat may have.
