I have a 1989 Suzuki DT140. I am removing the control cables. The bottom cable (shifter) passes through the cowling through a molded in retainer. The brass cap on the cable is apparently stuck in that retainer. Since I don't like beating things with a hammer, can anyone give me any advice on removing the bottom cable? I don;t see any retaining clips or pins. Thanks.
