I think my last topic was a little confusing. I have a 1989 Johnson GT 100. I am trying to remove the drive shaft and prop shaft so that i can inspect the gears. i have already removed the lower unit. Does anyone have any suggestions for this operation?

To remove the prop and drive shaft you have to remove the bearing carrier, pinion gear nut and pinion gear. Got a manual?

c/6
Hooty

No i don't have a manual. I wish i did. I bought this boat @ 9 months ago. I have had to do a lot of work to it. Can this be done with out a manual? I have gotten the bearings out, but i kinda got stuck after that.

No i don't have a manual. I wish i did. I bought this boat @ 9 months ago from a dealership and it did not even have an owners manual, much less a repair manual. I have had to do a lot of work to it in the last 9 months. Can this be done with out a manual? I have gotten the bearings out, but i kinda got stuck after that.
