Removing epoxy and other permanent stains from gel coat and stainless (Wet Sanding)

In doing my restoration I must have grabbed the stainless hand rails in my bow with my epoxy covered hands, and also some of the edges of the top of the hull on the sides of my boat (gel coat).

I believe that I will have to wet sand the gel coat to get it off (let me know if this is correct). Is there any way to get it off of my ss rails?

tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

(for those wondering why I started a new thread, it's this is a new topic and looking for specifics on this matter... new headline)

A gentle touch with a razor blade should do the SS .. the gel .. Try Acetone. Or a Dull Pocket knife.

YD.
