removing fuel filter

I have a 190 4.3L V6 Merc and I am trying to see if I have water in my fuel filter. I located it but not sure how to remove it. Does not seem like it twists off can anyone give me some tips on how to remove this filter. Its white says sierra on it thats the right part correct? thanks so much

its righty tighty lefty loosey... just remember its upside down. You may need a filter wrench to take it off.

What he said. An oil filter wrench, or a strap wrench will spin it off. If you take it off, replace it regardless of whether you find anything in there or not. The filters are pretty much universal, any marine supply place will have what you need, even if it is a different brand.
