I am new the forum. I have an old Johnson 7.5 HP. It is model no AD-11. I want to get my 15' boat out this spring and go fishing. My problem is the shift lever on the motor broke off several years back and I want to fix it. I tried using JB weld, but that didn't work. The handle is mostly intact, but I need to get the small stub that broke off still attached off so I can have it repaired. How do I take this apart?? I may just fab up a new once I can get it apart. Not sure of the old one can be repaired. I can take pictures this afternoon of that helps also.
