Removing High Speed Needle from 1955 Fleetwin 7.5

Hi there.

My search skills are obviously not that great, as I can't seem to find information on how to remove the high speed needle. I can turn it a bit either way, but am unsure if it just screws out. I don't want to force it.

Just keep turning it (counterclockwise). But if the hood and knob is on it, there is a limiter that prevents it from turning more than about a turn.

Thanks for that. I had the carb off, and I was able to get it off just now after it sat for a while with a release agent on it. I was pretty sure it would just unscrew, but the resistance worried me a bit.
