Calling all iboats Suzuki Gurus

I just a got a new boat with an 1985 Suzuki 65 on it. The previouis owner hasn't replaced the impeller in the 6 years he owned it... It still spits some water but I want to replace it. I've done this before on my old Force motor but I can't figure out how to disconnect the shift linkage on this one.

After I unbolt the lower unit how do I get the shift linkage off? And back on with out breaking anything. thanks!

Hi,
First make sure the remote control is in neutral.
Then disconnect under the cowl according to this image. Be careful with the clutch rod, You do not want the ball and spring to come out of it's position, so do not move the rod up-down in any way when you are working with the impeller change.
