My old emblem got knocked off. I found replacements on e-bay. Any suggestions for cleaning and preping before replacing the new ones. They come with an adhesive backing.
Thanks,
Doug

'Goo Gone' is great for removing anything sticky.

I used it for exactly the same issue on my boat.

3 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner is pretty remarkable stuff, too. It seems to get off stuff that other solvents don't.

Start with denatured alcohol. If that doesn't work, graduate to acetone.

I've used all 3 - Goo Gone, Acetone and 3M Adhesive Remover. They all seem to work well.

I've wasted a ton of money on all of the goo this and goof that, none of it worked for me. Xylene which is an adhesive reducer will melt that old adhesive off in nothing flat.
