Hi,
I have posted several times about replacing the transom on my 75 Wriedt spoiler.
I am replacing from the inside of the boat, it is not a sandwiched transom.
I have sucsessfully removed all the old wood. now I have encountered a problem. how do I chip or should I chip out all the old epoxy that glued the transom wood to the fiberglass skin of the boat? The entire transom was literally wet mulch, so it just seperated from the epoxy. some of the epoxy is chipping off, some of it is holding firm. what is the best way to get this stuff off? I was thinking of using a Dremel with a diamond wheel on it, cutting it into strips and then prying it off. good idea?

also I am using marine plywood on the transom. this stuff is expensinve(117/sheet) can I get away with using regular plywood for the stringers and epoxying 3 layers together, then coating the outside with epoxy?

thanks
Josh
