I have tried razor blades and a wirewheel on a dremel. I can't get the old gasket off completly due to the poistion of the bottom carb.

What works for you?
Thanks...Eric

Gasket remover is good, but Aircraft remover is way better. the stuff is nasty, and will also remove any paint and or primer it comes in contact with... so be carefull. It comes in a spray can and is made by a company called Klean-strip. I bought mine at a auto parts store.

I stay away from razor blades as they can nick the metal. I use an old army knife. It is sharp enough to cut the gasket but not mar the surface. The rounded front of the blade helps too. Any old knife should do though.
