Hi all,<br />I'm in the process of restoring a little 13 foot semi-V fiberglass fishing boat. I'm preping the inside so I can paint it with Durabak. The inside is painted with silver with a sky blue primer. I'm currently sandblasting the paint and primer off. It seems to work alright with out any damage to the fiberglass. In some areas, both the primer and paint came off so I go to the fiberglass. However, in some areas only the paint came off and not the primer. Would it be Ok to just leave the primer on and give it several coats of Durabak. Just concern that the primer might chip off later taking the Durabak with it. Thanks.

At minimum I would feather the edges of any stubborn remaining paint or primer.
