I have pine sap all over the tailgate of my truck. Is there any way to remove it? I've tried plain soap and water with some elbow grease, but it did nothing.

Turpentine, paint thinner mineral spirits, lacquer, acetone, MEK,......and many more. Use one of tirst three mentioned as the others will start removing the paint. Chief

Keep in mind whatever you use will also take ALL the wax with it. When you get it off and clean throw a light coat of wax on...... then wax OFF....wax on...wax off AJ Son!!8)

WD 40 might work too.

Re: Removing Pine Sap

Just removed a bunch of pine sap using.... Dissolve It, a spray bottle of yellow liquid found in the cleaning aisle... same as Goof Off, Goo Gone, etc.

I believe the main ingredient is mineral based.

Works GREAT !!!!

I cut tree's for a living and believe me I se WAYYYYYY too much sap. The best way to get it off WITHOUT using harsh chemicals on your vehicles is plain old rubbing alchohol. .89 bottle of stuff takes it right of anything and is ALOT milder on equipment and skin.
