I am trying to remove the power steering pump pulley from the pump. The existing one is plastic and there was a service bulletin that changed it to metal. The new pulley is larger and comes with a larger Serpentine belt. There is a 3/8" hex key slot in the shaft, but it does not seem like it wants to budge. How is it suppose to come off?
OK, checked the service manual. Looks like it is pressed on. It looks like there is a special tool to remove and another to install. Not sure what the tool grabs though. The picture shows the older V-belt pulley, not the S-belt. Could someone confirm it is the same tools?

Does anyone know what the actual problem that the service bulletin is suppose to fix? Shreading belts? Cracked pulleys?
Note: OK, checked a latter service manual (31) that does show the right pulley. I still need special tools.
I hate special tools for a one time job! I will have to call around to see if I can borrow one.
