Re: removing screw plug in head for water pressure gauge
I know what you mean with the tight screw. People usually have the same problem on the oil plug in the foot, as well as other parts below the water line. Although yours is above the waterline (maybe), it doesn't change the fact that things seize up. Go down to the local auto parts store and get a hand-held impact wrench. Its not pnuematic, you put it to the screw/bolt and hit it with a hammer. This will free it up 99% of the time without breaking anything or stripping the head. You could buy a high-end tool that may run a few hundred dollars, or just go buy a cheap one that will work about the same. Even then, you're looking to spend about $40-50, but hey, whats a little money to get a new, neat tool?
