The side of my boat has quite a few black scuffs from the docks her in CO. A lot of them have plastic bumpers on the side, how should I remove them? They don't come off with water, hull cleaner, or car wash.

Re: Removing Scuffs?

Do you not use fenders when you dock? My 03 has zero marks or wear on it from taking 2 minutes and putting out three fenders per side. An 03 Horizon is a nice, premium boat and so I'd invest in some fenders once you get the hull restored. Whatever the case if you can't wax it off than you are needing to buff the marks off depending on the damage. In a pinch a mr. clean magic erasure may do the trick as well. The generic version is the same and you get more of them for the money.

Re: Removing Scuffs?

are you talking big ugly black marks from tires or rollers?.....

if you are talking dock rash ....thats a different thing...

black marks can be removed with laquer thinnner and some elbow grease.....even a very light brillo pad (white, not red) can help.....if the area dulls because of the brillo pad....just buff
