I'm trying to remove the sight bowl to clean the fuel filter. I have the manual for the motor and it says to pull straight down and not to twist or **** the sight bowl.

Is there a trick to pulling off the sight bowl - I've tried several times and no luck.

Thanks

What manuel are you using is it for the right motor and the right year? My 40 hp unscrews but if it says don,t unscrew it you better wait for someone who knows your engine

I looked and found the same manual you recommended on an earlier post. Therefore, same instructions. Does it take a lot of force to remove? I don't want to break it.

I got it to screw off; there is a plastic nut on the bottom of the bowl that allows you to use a wrench to loosen and tighten it. Thanks again.
