Hi Everyone, I need to remove the steering and throttle cables from my 1989 Bass Tracker Pontoon with a 1989 Evinrude 90 hp engine so I can replace the deck which is rotten to the bone!<br />I do not know where to start,Engine or the console? I will also be removing the engine to replace the also rotten transom. Can anyone provide any tips on completing this job? Thanks for any help

Re: Removing throttle/steering cables

i would start with the console, disconnect the wiring and all that, rip out the deck, put in a new one, reinstall the wiring, but i wouldn't permanently attach anything until you're done with the motor, in case of lengths, etc, sounds like a big job, but should be fun, good luck
