Removing tilt and trim unit from 2004 johnson 90hp

Hi.
I managed to get the top pin out but struggling to get whatever is holding the bottom of the unit. From research, it seems to be a pin in the bottom also, but I've not moved it a mm by hammering.
Is it just a pin that needs more brute force or is there something I'm missing?

you really need an air hammer if its that seized. loosen the tilt tube nuts and whack the transom clamps away from the bottom pin. hopefully they break free after a good soak. do not try to remove that pin it will be so seized. also each side of the pin has a wire retainer that needs removed.

Thanks. To clarify - I have attached two pics. I presumed I could leave the engine completely attached and remove the tilt unit. I don't fully understand what actually holds the bottom together. I have seen some diagrams where the bottom is a pin with bolts either side but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Whatever fixing is in there, just protudes a cm or 2 into the casing. The large top pin came out reasonably easy and the bottom seemed to have a lot of grease in there so I presume it was half well maintained.
You will have to excuse my ignorance - this is the first outboard I have owned. What are the tilt tube nuts?

no problemo. sorry i assumed you had the motor hanging! i would get a hoist and hang it. will be much faster in the long run. the tilt tube is the tube on top... the thing the steering cable goes through. has a 1 1/4'' nut on either side to hold it in. the whole swivel assembly hinges on it. make sure the lower pin retainers are removed and whack the brackets away. trim assembly will come out.
