I can not for the life of me get the 4 screws out that hold the pump itself on. Any suggestions??..already tried soaking with wd40. Thinking of heating them up a bit?? I think the pump has never been replaced, all 4 screws show no sign of ever being touched before.

If worse comes to worse, how about an impact driver.

Are they the typical standard (flathead) screw? If so, you might have to use an "easy out" screw remover. If you have access to SnapOn tools, get theirs. It'll be the best 5 bucks you ever spent. Basically it's a reverse threaded taped drill bit that you drive into a shallow hole that you drill in the screw face. The business end of the easy out is a 9/16" hex drive for a socket wrench. Then do what I did and replace them with phillips head machine screws from Home Depot.
