On a 93 Yam 250 can the TnT motor be removed without removing the whole TnT unit or engine from the boat?

Thanks

I do not believe it can be done without pulling the motor or at least one of the motor brackets, What does the service manual say?

You need to remove the whole TNT assembly. Two or three bolts on each side of the bracket and a little wiggle jiggle should come right out.

The manual doesn't say.

I was hoping that I could loosen the mounting nuts and slide the engine off of the transome enough to get to that last motor bolt.

Will it work?

As long as you have an engine picker or a way of removing and supporting the engine. I replaced mine by removing the entire TNT assembly. Much easier plus you can take the whole assembly on a work bench.

Every time I try and take out a complete unit most of the bolts snap.

What I really need to know is can I get to all the TnT motor bolts while the engine is off of the boat?
