Once a year. Just did mine. (But I only haul it 7 miles one way, about 25 times per year)

I repack mine 4 to 5 times a year. I pull my boat 600 miles or more at a time 4 to 5 times a year. I also replace them every year. It might be over kill but it's cheep insurance against a failure.

Re: Repacking bearings

I keep my boat in the canal at our dock in the back yard . The ramp is 1 mile away . I pull the boat out about 1 time a month for checks and other work. I pack mine every year despite the fact they have less than 50 miles on them due to the water in the grease factor . I would do mine every 20 times out or if you do long distance trailering I would think every 7,500 miles would be good. Once a year though is never a bad idea. I did my race car trailer every 10k and every winter but that never saw water .

Re: Repacking bearings

It all depends if the hubs have bearing buddies or not. Bearing buddies allow the hubs to be kept full of grease, making it unlikely that any water will get in and damage the bearings.

With bearing buddies, we go many years without repacking. Without bearing buddies, the bearings should be repacked often - at a minimum of once every year, at the end of the season.
