I have an '80 Sea Ray 210 CC. The hull is factory light blue. I want her dark, dark blue. Then I will stripe her with red and white boot stripes. Can I just sand her and paint over the Gel Coat or, do I need to primer her, too? Can I "roller and tip" her or, should she be sprayed? I want a good smooth finish. She has a few scratches (not large or deep), do I just use some fairing compund or, do I need to primer the faired spots? Is topside paint tough enough to resist normal wear?
