Looking at the discontinued Johnson 140. Are the suzaki parts, codes and such all interchangable? Could a suzaki mech. get parts and repair or vice-versa. Will parts be available for these engines 10-15 years from now?<br /><br />Thanks Jody
If Suzuki is still around 10-15 years from now you stand as good a chance of getting parts as from any other manufacturer of that age engine. A Suzuki tech should be able to service its Johnson brother.
Four stroke, two stroke? The four strokes are the same except for paint, decals, control cable connector(which can be changed to use Suzuki control), and the oil change reminder in the computer.
