Any brand recommendations? I've used Seloc manuals but they seem to not have detailed info. What others are out there that you would recommend? I'm in the early stages of waking up a sleeper...'84 Johnson 150hp V6

Odd with so many folks reading this post that not one suggested any manual(s) yet. The absolute best O/B engine manual is the actual manufacturer's specific year and model specific shop manual. There is more quality information AND pictures in their manuals then anything after-market. It totally explains how to tear down and rebuilt every part of the engine(s) it covers. That IS my best opinion for you... Hope that helps.

Agreed, Factory manual. Most OMC manuals can usually be founf on ebay pretty reasonably.
