Repair mounting holes in fiberglass

I took off a trolling motor which was mounted on the front of my Phantom 84 Trihull 16ft. It is made of fiberglass and has no access from the inside. Under the holes which are about 3/4" dia. is foam. Can I just fill with marine epoxy, sand and paint or?
Also filling in Screw holes from previous installations.

Marine Tex works good.

Marine-Tex filler (slightly dimpled), then apply this gel coat repair from West Marine (or where ever you find it) SKU 4759312, 542613, or 542605 ...
