Re: repair or replace vro pump?

I replaced the VRO/Fuel pump on my boat earlier this year and it worked fine. Cost was about $280, pricey I know but they said that the new pump has been improved and is more reliable than the original old one. I don't know if you can buy just a fuel pump.

The electric pump is something I personally would make my last resort, (if at all). There were several posts about replacing the VRO/fuel pump combo with a fuel pump only. Whether or not it can be done to all models, meaning yours, I don't know. Someone on here will, though.

Charles
