I have a smoked acrylic windshield. It had a crack and I removed it and a piece broke off. It's a 1980 boat, so I don't think I can get a replacement. Thoughts on how I can repair it. Ive considered super glue (don't want the white film from the glue) or PlasticWeld.

Post a pic. Many plastics companies will form new ones for you. I had a formed smoked gatch cover replaced for a reasonable price

Check your local yellow pages for plastic companies

You need to go to this site and have a look. I used their glues lots of times to glue acrylic material together and the great part about this is, it is totally clear when it cures. And it can be sanded, buffer, machined and/or finished however you like and it IS totally waterproof as well. It will work perfectly for your situation. JMHO
