Hi. I am in possession of a Bombard AX3. I don't know anything about inflatables or Bombard and I need some help. This boat has some old repairs for leaks that need to be re-done, and the seam on the bottom port side is open and needs to be sealed. I can't find any info on Bombard so I don't know if it's PVC or Hypalon, or if I can fix it or should I take it to a repair shop? Heck, I don't can't even find any place around here that messes with inflatable boats, so I may be on my own. Any info would most appreciated. Thanks.

They are made from PVC, .... I can tell you one thing, to try and fiddle with a seam is not a fun job and hardly ever works, a little hole on a clean area is ok, but a seam needs to be heat welded ...... to fix a hole you get a glue called PVC WELD, that you can path a tube with as long as you have a few PVC patches to patch with (you should have these with your repair kit you get with the boat) if you can't find PVC WELD you can use a glue (yellow and snotty) that they glue vinyl floor tiles with ....... to get the seam fixed you should find a place that can do it, or you can try and fix it yourself with a heat gun, which I don't recommend .......
