What is the best way to fill / repair screw holes in the hull?
Another question, is the whole back of the boat the transom? Or is the transom the part where the motor mounts?

Erick, to fill small holes, MarineTex is good stuff.

On your Glastron, the transom question can be a loaded one. Generally, the back end is the "Transom", but in another sense, the transom is the board that holds the motor. Many Glastrons do not have a full width transom. Judging from the pic in your other thread, yours may only be about 2/3 width like most older 'trons. My '76 T-166 has a 2/3 width.

If you haven't found it yet, you can find good info on your 'tron over at classicglastron.com, like the original sales brochures and such.

thickened epoxy works well in screw holes, probably is the best repair.

westsystem dot com has lots of info about repairs like that.

epoxy will harden enough so you can sand the surface and dab a bit of paint on it.

I used Marine-Tex in my Wellcraft I filled at least 70 holes with ease. Sand fast and smooth and coveres nicely for paint. Look at all the light white spots where the holes where filled and the last pic is the finished project....
