repairing tears in boat seats

I have a few tears in my boats seats. I am trying to stop the tears from getting any worse as well as protect the seat foam. It doesnt have to look perfect, just be effective. I am thinking about using Gorilla tape, any opinions on this or something similar?

duct tape works also, just a little sticky around the edges.

Is there a large car dealership near you? Visit and talk with the Used Car Manager and ask who they use to repair the car seats and interior trim. It is usually an indepenant contractor who will do the work for you too. The people we use can repair vinyl, leather or cloth and do a great job. Can't hurt to ask.
