Hello All:

Can an aluminum Prop. get repitched from 19 to 17 or 15? I have a 88 Bayliner 19' Capri with a Force 125 with a 13 1/4 X 19 Three blade Prop. Top speed is 35 mph GPS. I would like to have spare Prop that is a 13 1/4 X 19
repitched to 17 or 15.

Any and All Info would be great.

You could probably buy a 17 off E-Bay for what it'd cost for a prop shop to mess it up.

Yes it can. Most shops get about $70-$90 to repair/repitch a prop. Best idea it to have 3 different ones on board. It's quick to change them, depending on what you're doing (cruising, tubing, top speed).

Aluminum props today are very inexpensive. You'd do best to buy the proper pitch prop and save your old prop for a spare. The factory "bend" is better than anything your prop shop can provide for $70-90.

I vote for a new one instead of reworking an old one. Aluminum tends to bend only once.

Ayuh,..... My prop Guy tells me he can repitch a prop, about 1" either way, from where it was originally...

Any more than that, just Don't work...
