Replace bearing buddies?

Been lurking for a while, lots of great information here. I'm going to attempt my first bearing job this weekend, I don't think the bearings on my new to me but used boat trailer have been serviced for many years. It does have bearing buddies on it, which have been on it for at least 10 years and perhaps since the trailer was new (20 years). I'm not completely sure of the history here. Do the bearing buddies wear out and need occasional replacement, or would these likely still be good to continue using?

Your main concern would be the seals on the bearing buddies. For the price I would replace them so you can be sure the seals will hold to keep the grease in and pressurized and keep the water out.

You can always pump them up until the piston starts moving. If the grease doesn't leak out, they are fine.

They are easily cleaned and rebuildable. I'm doing mine right now. No need to buy new ones unless your old ones are rusty or damaged.

I just replaced my Bearing Buddies because they leak like a siv into the bearing bras.

Hate that...
