I'm planning on replacing the rubber tube (grommet) where the engine oil drains. The engine is a 2005 F90TLRD. Can the tube be replaced without removing the Apron? In looking at the parts list and the service manual, it appears that I have 6 bolts at the top and 2 on the side, but will the plastic apron spread wide enough to slide it off the engine?

Or is this a job that I should hold off of until the water pump needs to be replaced?

Thanks,
Allen

Is removal of the apron as simple as it appears? 5 bolts under the cowl and 2 on the front side? Any risk that flexing the apron will cause it to crack?
