I've got a 1954 7.5hp Evinrude and 1962 10hp Johnson, both of which I'd rather get running and keep than part out. They both have scuffed cylinder walls, and probably worn piston rings.

Scrounging working powerheads, probably off ebay, is an option, but I'd prefer to refurbish these powerheads.

What kind of machine shop costs should I expect if I elect to get these powerheads cleaned up?

Thanks, Chris

Machine shop prices vary according to where you are at. Try calling around your area and check some prices.
