replace powerhead or rebuilt motor

found out I had a hole in block due to cracked piston was told to replace power head does this sound right is it worth to relace or buy used outboard or repower with 200 etec ,I have a 200hp johnson ocean v looper 1996 350 hours boat still in good shape 1996 wellcraft cuddy had it 3yrs ran great ps price for powerhead 5600.00 does this sound steep?<br /><br />thanks

Check on the powerhead section of this website and there are some rebuild for around 3500 after core charge. Not sure if your core is worth anything with a hole in it but give it a look..
