Replace rings on my 1970, 60hp Evinrude?

I recently blew out the block on my 1970, 60 HP Evinrude and am having to replace the powerhead. I found a used one on ebay and am now wondering if I should replace the rings. The fellow that sold it said it had 100 PSI on each cylinder. The old powerhead was Model 60073D, Serial J12629. The new, 1971 is Model 60173C, Serial J06373. The parts seem to be interchangeable. Does anyone see a problem with this plan?
Thank You

The rings aren't the problem with those, it's the pistons. The top ring is too close to the top and if carbon builds-up behind, it can pull the top right off. Decarbonize twice the first year and annually therafter and you should be fine.

Yes, your right about the pistons. The number one pistion broke and blew a hole in the side of the block. Question - Should I be happy with 100 lbs across the board on this new block, or should I replace the rings?

The high top ring was on the V-4 crossflows. Your's is a 3 cylinder loop charged. I recall no problem's with the top ring on these pistons.
