BACK AGAIN, NEXT ,TRIM CYL IS LEAKING OIL CAN I CHANGE IT WHILE IT IS ON THE BOAT, IF I LOCK THE MOTER UP OR SHOULD I JUST TAKE THE WHOLE UNIT OFF? . ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY THE TOOL.

Hi Mr Gibbs<br />Yes you can manualy raise and lock it up. then remove your tilt& trim unit for service. I would highly recomend that you get a manual and the proper tools to perform this work. This is one of them ( your choice) jobs, you can do it the easy way and maybe save a buck, or take the hard way and pay twice. My scanner is not working or I'd gladly send you info on this procedure. The tools can be ordered from your local OMC dealer. Or they will be able to tell you where you can get them. You might have to make your owen. Good luck. let us know how you make out.
