Replace water pump impeller

I'm about to replace the water pump impeller on my 1975 merc 200 (20 hp ob). Beside the impellar, are there any other parts I should consider replacing as long as I have the unit apart. Are there parts that must be replaced when the impeller is replaced? I'ld like to have everything available when I tear into this project.<br />Thanks.

I would look into getting a kit if there is one available. They come with impellor, gaskets, o-rings etc. If you have a manual I would check to see what it recommends for that motor. Good luck
