I've had a shifting issue since getting my '93 omc 5.0L so I went ahead and replaced the esa. Now I am having trouble with the boat running, I can get it started but it needs almot almost full throttle to fire up, however the lower I drop the rpm the rougher it runs and then stalls far before idle. I am wondering if the problem is from the esa? It runs the same now with the old esa or no connection at all. Also, the tach is now working for the first time since I purchased the boat. (about 15 hours). Seems strange? Could be something else like carb/ fuel and just happened to start at the same time as the new esa, since I did not start the boat for three weeks. Any ideas would be wonderful!
