i have decided to change the fuel lines on my boat. It's a 94 keywest 19ft cc sportsman with internal fuel tank. Any tricks to routing the new fuel lines from the tank to the motor. It looks like the only way to get them through is to fish them through. Any ideas??

Re: replaceing fuel lines on 1900 cc key west

I have a 94 1900 DC and if I had to do it, I'd disconnect the old fuel line at the tank and use it to pull through a piece of rope to use as a pullstring for the new fuel line. Or skip the intermediate step and use the old line to pull the new. Just make sure the pull-ee is VERY well secured to the pull-er, if they detach halfway through the pull process it will turn a relatively easy day into a major headache.

I have done this on my 1991
there is a pvc conduit in the hull that all the wires and the fuel line run thru. I had to pull the old line out using it to pull a fish tape thru and then pull the new hose back in.
The wires and hose were all tied together inside the pvc pipe and I was unable to pull one hose thru with the old due to clamps being caught on other rigging.
Stick your hand and arm down the bilge and over to where the rigging goes thru the hull and you will be able to feel the end of the pvc.
The other end is under and to the side of the CC.
It was easier to remove the boot under the console to get to it
