replaceing impeller, do I need the kit or just the impeller?

Just wondering gwhat to order. The kit is around $70 for my '97 Gamefisher 9.9, but the impeller is only $11. I believe the impeller is the origional as this motor had really low hours on it when I bought it a few years ago.<br /><br />Do I need gaskets and covers, or can I just buy an impeller and put it in? <br /><br />Do I have to drop the lower unit to get to the impeller? <br /><br />Anything else I should do while I am in there?
