I have 2000 fourwinss horizon 230 with the vdo auto style guage cluster. its powered by the volvo penta 5.7 gsi sxm motor. I want to replace them with analog gauges. I'm gonna cut out a new panel for the dash and install individual gauges. what I need to know is what gauges will work on my engine and drive. my understanding is Volvo uses a different frequency of sorts. I'm looking for something compatable with my system so I can wire directly to each individual sending unit. I will need a few gauges with multiple gauges in one due to space restraints on pannel. example: one guage with oil pressure volts and fuel maybe. not 100% sure but I believ the tac and trim guage is what will be engine specific.

Ayuh,..... I've never heard of that,.....

As far as I know, any Marine gauge set oughta work, just Fine,.....

No reason to wire back to the motor, the wire loom already does that,....

Ole style gauges generally come in 2", 'n 2, 1/4",...... 2" bein' the most common,....

I understand boat fuel gauges run different ohms than automotive, but the oil pressure, 'n water temp are the same,....
Obviously, the voltmeter don't care,....
