Replacement keel rollers

I have a 25' Sleek Craft Ambassador. All the rollers on the trailer are bad. I can not seem to find rollers this size any where local or online. The shaft for the rollers is 3/4 and approximately 14.25" long. The rollers are approximately 12". There are 6 of them. Any suggestions?

The best rollers around are the Stoltz rollers. THey're extremely strong and make loading/unloading a boat very easy. THey should come in the size you need.

Do you know what kind of trailer it is?

My old Gator trailer had 5" keel rollers on it which nobaody makes any more. Might be something you're going to have to go back to the manufacturer for.

Where have you looked? 12" keel rollers are available almost everywhere. The Stoltz mentioned below are kind of a premium grade, but their sizes are nothing unique, so you can find those same sizes anywhere of various materials and costs. Maybe the shaft diameter is the odd part of yours (if you measured correctly)? I think most are 5/8, not 3/4 (including the Stoltz).

It is a road runner trailer. It is not the 12" roller that is the problem. It is the 3/4" shaft. The 5/8 ones are fairly easy to find even locally. It is definitely 3/4 even double checked it with a digital caliper. .756

I wonder if you couldn't find and just use 5/8" spindles.... or the appropriate grade (i.e. strong) bolt w/ nylon lock nut? Maybe that's why they're all 5/8, because it's strong enough? I don't know, just speculating.

The 3/4" axle is why I metioned being a bastard size OEM part.

The axles should also be replacable so what you might have to do is replace the axles also and then have the mounts bushed to accept the 5/8" diameter axle.

Both good suggestions. I will call Road Runner today. I'm betting even if they do have the rollers with 3/4 shafts they are going to be outrageous in price. Sounds like a good winter project to convert to 5/8 shafts and rollers with or without bushing the mounts.

Just did a quick search and found 3 different RoadRunner trailer companies. One in Texas, one in MO and one in BC Canada.

Find the right one and I betcha find what you need. Hopefully.

No love. Mine was actually built by Road Runner CA which is no longer in business. I needed some wheel bearing seals for my other RR trailer that was built in CA and the TX location could not help me with those either. Leave it to the west coasters to do things differently.

Just another bit of information - you probably know you can buy bolt-on roller brackets that bolt on to cross frame members with U bolts that will be the correct size for normally available trailer parts, such as spindle diameter, roller widths, etc.

I had to pretty much completely re-do the proprietary, non-adjustable, non-generic, welded-on roller and bunk brackets on my trailer and just bought bolt-on boat trailer hardware from the local boat and trailer stores. I cut off the welded parts and touched up the paint and it looks like it was designed this way.
