Replacement oil drive gear?

We are currently fixing our 1994 150 HP 6 cylinder mercury outboard motor. The plastic gear that drives the oil pump was stripped so we are replacing that. My question was does somebody make that gear out of brass instead of plastic. I was trolling around the internet and think i found something stating that they do make a brass gear for this motor, but now I cannot find it anywhere... Do any of you know if they actually DO make a brass oil drive gear, and where I could find/buy it? Thanks

Re: Replacement oil drive gear?

Sorry ..only plastic. Check the bushing in block for excessive clearance.
