My 86 L6 115 has a 21 pitch prop jumps out of hole well but wot is 6000 would a 24 pitch be to much 16.5 bass boat

In most cases the rule of thumb is you loose 200 rpm for each inch increase in pitch, could be a bit ore then 200. So 3 inch increase could lower WOT 600 to 800 rpm depending on which type of prop

What is the weight of the Boat, it must be very light to Jump out of the Hole with a 21, and 6000 rpm sounds a little high. I guess it could be Ventilating, which would account for the High Rpm.
Exactly what prop is the 21, and what Height is the Engine mounted at?
