Replacement Seats

I've been trying to sell my Nineteen to no avail so I might end up keeping it and fixing it up. One problem area on mine when I got it was the lack of seats. I found some lounge seats and rigged to fit where the factory ones go BUT they are too narrow and don't fit right. Any idea where I can find a suitable replacement for the factory units?

Re: Replacement Seats

have ya tried calling Aristocraft? http://www.aristocraftboats.com/contact.html best i can come up with.
my guess is your gonna have to make some to fit.... ive seen one other nineteen in my area. it had replacement seats in it. they didn't fit proper either.

+ i don't think the seats are the same. my starboard side is wider than the port side. i assume this is the case with all nineteens though i don't know that for a fact. back to calling the oem. they're helpful guys.. ;)

Re: Replacement Seats

Seeing as the seat "skins" for the Nineteen list for $900! I don't see OEM being a viable option for me at this time. If you can get around t it Ziggy, could you measure the width of your seats? The ones I got are too narrow but wider ones might work.

Re: Replacement Seats

The OEMs definitely have value if you can swing them. They are sized a little different and Aristocraft may be able to provide you with some paper patterns you could trace out onto plywood or foamed PVC for your backs and bases. Piedmont Plastics can get the PVC for you. If I'm not mistaken, the OEM skins are seamless and have the logo embossed in them. That alone will make them last a lot longer than shop Meade's.

yep, pretty dandy too. i sure think the seamless is mighty hip (kudos to AristoCraft for good design, again). logo is nice too.

went and did a measurement of the seats for ya. kinda hard to get a good measurement with the seats all put together but here's what i got.

starboard aft facing seat was the one i measured.
21 7/8'' wide
18 1/3 deep.

i thought the starboard side seat was wider. but both port and starboard came up the same. 21 7/8'' wide.
