I just bought a 1978 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 160-SS. The starboard side windshied broke from too much snow on it's cover. It is a frameless plastic of some type, maybe Plexiglass. Anyone have one for sale? Anyone have any luck making one? I used to heat and bend plastic in school shop class to make boxes etc. But, I do not have the heating element we had in school. I thought about putting the plastic on a table with two boards on top of it. I would separate the boards where I wanted to bend the plastic and shoot my heat gun there. Then make the bend over the old windshield. What do you think? Thanks, Bert

Search the forums for Windshield 101. A guy at fiberglassics did what you are planning...make his own windshield with plexi from Home Depot.

The items from Cabela's just may work. I will have to measure this weekend. They are not the same shape but I may get lucky with the width. Thanks, Bert

There is also a step by step write up about making a windshield and a cheap oven for forming on the fiberglassics web site....it is in the backyard mechanics section. I know...I wrote it...made 2 windshields for my boat and with all the material for windshield and oven it only cost me about $75
